Student Organizations

Interacting with other students is a great way to find out what is going on, how to get things done, and to have fun. There are over 500 registered organizations on the KU campus for you to investigate. You can sail, run a film series, allocate funds, plan parties, be part of student government, join a religious group, participate in sports, be in an honor society, offer community services and participate in many other interesting activities.

To help new students get acquainted with registered organizations, an Organization Information Festival is scheduled during Hawk Week and during the first full week of classes Fall semester. You can learn about student organizations and their events by reading the University Daily Kansan and bulletin boards located throughout campus.

Organizations register with the Student Involvement & Leadership Center each year. You can get a list of these organizations and assistance in exploring possibilities for further involvement from the Student Involvement and Leadership Center in Room 400, Kansas Union.
